J. Haydn: Quartet in D minor, Op.42, “Hoffmeister Quartet”
S. Barber: Quartet in B minor, Op.11
L. v. Beethoven: Quartet No. 1 in F major, Op. 59
The members of the quartet met in Vienna, where they founded the Selini Quartet. Prize-winners of international competitions, they make regular appearances all over Europe and in some of the world’s most important concert halls.
As part of the Beethoven Year, they will perform, among other works, two of the composer’s 16 quartets, works which foreshadow his development and which have been described as the most complete of his compositions, laying down a challenge to every string quartet that attempts to perform them.
