Created by the acclaimed Spanish trumpeter David Pastor, TimeLapse was named Best Jazz Album of 2019 at the Carles Santos Awards and has since been presented at festivals both in Spain and abroad.
The term time lapse refers to a recording technique in which events that unfold slowly over long periods are shown in accelerated motion, allowing the viewer to perceive an extended process within a short span of time. Drawing on this concept, David Pastor’s jazz trio—featuring Francesc Capella on piano and Tom Warburton on double bass—joins forces with a string quartet made up of young soloists from MOYSA – Megaro Youth Symphony Orchestra.
An unexpected fusion of two musical worlds which offers audiences an experience that is at once distinctive and familiar, presented through a fresh and contemporary musical perspective.
