Philippos Kostavelis
Piano
Philippos Kostavelis started studing piano at the age of seven. He studied classical piano and harmony in Thessaloniki, Greece and he continued his studies in classical piano and music teaching at HfM Hanns Eisler, Berlin, where he stayed for eleven years. Since 2007 he has been living in Thessaloniki working professionally and collaborating with great artists of the jazz area such NATASSA MARE MOUMTZIDOU, CHRISTOS YERMENOGLOU, GEORGIA SYLLAIOY, LAKIS TZIMKAS, AROMA CARIBE, HARRIS KAPETANAKIS etc. His main field is jazz and improvising music. He has recorded for many artists, toked part to some of the greatest festivals in Greece and has composed music for modern dance and theatre.
