A Little Drop of Poison… A unique musical show presenting the music and poetry of Tom Waits. Georgia Sylleou has been investigating and presenting the Californian creator’s music for years, focusing on his European influences, his lyrical dimension and his poetry.
The show includes Greek translations of Waits’ poems and texts by Georgia Sylleou in the spirit of Waits’ poetry, set to music by Filippos Kostavelis.
The quartet performs its own adaptations of Tom Waits’ ballads, dreamlike images, myths, enchanting nightmares, grotesque circus and cabaret atmosphere, as well as his Irish and Brechtian influences.
