Journalism in transition: Crisis or Opportunity?

The JSS ECREA 2014 International Conference under the title Journalism in Transition: Crisis or Opportunity? is organised by the European Communication Research and Education Association - ECREA in cooperation with the School of Journalism and Mass Communications of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and will be held between 27-29 March 2014 at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
The European Communication Research and Education Association (ECREA) is the society for communication scholars across Europe and beyond. ECREA is devoted to the development and the quality of communication research and higher education and serves as a large community for ideas and synergies exchange among communication scholars in European and international level. ECREA is structured in 17 thematic sections as the Journalism Studies Section - JSS.
Considering the transition of journalism and the news, the conference intends to provide a venue for the theoretical, critical and empirical engagement with these issues - transformation forms, causes and consequences - in both national and international contexts.
The conference will host 150 delegates from 30 countries, education and research institutions.
