MAGNANIMUS TRIO: THE TIDE

Magnanimus Trio counts 15 years of presence and creative activity in the Greek and international music scene. Τhe ensemble’s distinctive lineup as an extended piano trio—with Dimitris switching between the drums and the piano, and Christos alternating between the piano and the ney—combined with their expansive compositional and improvisational dexterity, places them among the Greek ensembles that defy stereotypes while crafting melodic narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. The trio members have been playing music together for over 25 years (having first met as fellow students at Aristotle University) and they share a unique chemistry that is evident in every performance. They have performed in concerts in Greece, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Sweden and Germany.
In this new collaboration with MOYSA—the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall—and with their fourth album underway, they will present new compositions and improvisations alongside the orchestra members at the Concert Hall Square.
