Raisa Popailidi

Violin
She was born in Vladikavkas, Russia.
In 2000 she graduated from the Higher Academy of Music “Gnesis” in Moscow, specialized in violin by Professor Bulatov and more specific as an “Orchestra Soloist”, “Violin Teacher” and “Chamber Music Soloist”
In the quartet class (Borodin Quartet) her professor was Mr V. Berlinsky.
In 2002 she was awarded the title “Doctor” in violin from the Higher Academy of Music “Gnesin” of Moscow.
She has worked as concertmaster with the Symphony Orchestra “Gnesin” and the Chamber Music Orchestra “Logos” of Moscow. She had been a member of the State Symphony Cinematography Orchestra of Russia in Moscow with S. Scripka as a conductor.
She has been living in Thessaloniki since 2003 and teaching violin at the Conservatoire of Nothern Greece in Thessaloniki and at the Conservatory “Orpheus” in Perea, Thessaloniki.
She is member of the Chamber Orchestra “Orpheus Soloists” in Thessaloniki.
She has been awarded the first prize in an International Music Competition in Brussels as well as many other prizes in National and International competitions in Moscow, Rostov and Vladikavkas.
