Mohamed Abdelkader Ibn Haj Kacem started playing music at an early age and is now considered as one of the most accomplished and talented percussionist in Tunisia and aboard. He received his degree and his master’s degree in music and musicology, and soon began postgraduate studies in percussion. He has participated in major musical productions in Tunisia and abroad (Morocco, Algeria, Libya, Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Bahrain, France, Italy Spain, Germany, Romania, Netherlands, Austria, Greece, Turkey, Finland, China, South Korea, U.S.A.) including the opening performances in the Festival International de Carthage from 2003 until 2005 and 2007, Festival de la Musique Tunisienne from 2006 until 2008, Festival de la Medina in Tunis and in several other cities. Also he participated in the events “MUSIKAT”, «des Musiciens de Tunisie», «des Jeunes Virtuoses» organized by the Centre de Musique Arabe et Méditerranien and in the events «Octobre Musicale» (Acropolume de Cahrtage), «Les nuits des Solistes»(2003/2005/2006), «Rabyi el Moussika» (2008) of Centre International de Hammamet.
Moreover, Mohamed Abdelkader Ibn Haj Kacem has participated in many CD recordings and on recordings for soundtracks in the cinema and television. Very significant is also his participation as a percussion instructor in educational seminars of talented young musicians in Tunisia and abroad.
