Debora Waldman

Conductor
Born in Sao Paulo in Brasil, Debora Waldman started her musical studies in Israel then in the Argentina Catholic University in Buenos Aires. She is graduated in conducting and composition. Then she comes in Paris as to work with Janos Furst, Francois Xavier Roth and Michael Levinas in Conservatoire national supérieur de Musique.
Then Kurt Masur discover her and propose her to be his assistant in Orchestre national de France. She starts a very nice collaboration with this orchestra. She conducts the French creation of Richard Dubugnon Tryptique, and she conducts various pedagogigal concerts. She is also invited to conduct D. Shostakovitch 1st Cello concerto with Xavier Philips.
Debora Waldman conducted Donizetti Rita in Brasil Interntional Festival of Capos do Jordao. The brasilian press consider her as the “revelation” of this festival.
In France, she recently conducted Orchestre national des Pays de Loire, Orchestre de Picardie, Orchestre Avignon-Provence, Orchestre Colonne, Orchestre Lamoureux, Orchestre Philharmonique de Nice, Orchestre de Pau-Béarn, Orchestre de l’Opéra de Toulon, and Orchestre national de France.
 Debora Waldman has been distinguished as “Conductor Talent” by ADAMI in 2010.
This season she conducts a serie of performances of G. Puccini Madama Butterfly as well as the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo.
