Chahrazed Helal

Chehrazed Helal, is an excellent musician in Tunisia with major appearances at festivals and events and with a plethora of distinctions. In 1999 she received her diploma in Arabic Music from the Conservatoire Nationale de Musique de Tunis and in 2003 she finished her Master in History of Music and Musicology. She has already started her PhD while this period she is a Professor of Music and Musicology at the Ministry of Higher education.
Chehrazed Helala holds many awards for her contribution to the music. Among them the prize for the Day of Knowledge (2002) by the President of the Republic of Tunisia and the First Prize for the best appearance in the Arabic Song Festival in Alexandria.
Her artistic career as a professional singer began in 1990 and she has already participated in many concerts in Tunisia and abroad, as in the Institut du Monde Arabe in France (1998), Festival of Arab Music in Cairo (1998), Medina Festival Orchestra (1990), Festival International de Carthage (1994), Medina Festival Orchestra (1999), International Festival of Malouf and Traditional Music at Testour Tunisia (2001), International Festival of Symphonic Music El jem (2002), the opening of the Festival International de Carthage (2003), the event of Nuba du Tba Sika in the Arab and Mediterranean Music Centre (2004) and her appearance of the show «IKAAT» in collaboration with the orchestra «Métropol Orchestra», the National Broadcasting Company of Holland and the Orchestre Méditerranéen led by Kamel Ferjani (2006).
Important are also her participations in the Festival International de Carthage at the event «Diwan al Monchidin» (2007) and the performance «Tribute to the diva of Tunisian music Saliha» with the Orchestre Méditerranéen in the Festival International de Carthage (2010).
