TRIBUTE TO NOTIS MAVROUDIS: 50 YEARS OF SONGS...
IN COLLABORATION WITH THE FRIENDS OF LETTERS & ARTS SOCIETY OF KAVALA
It was one of those magical Notis Mavroudis concerts - nostalgic, in the style of an old boîte, in a lovely venue in Kavala – when, while the audience was making requests (as was the habit in the old boîtes of Athens), five or six members of the Synodepori Choir began to sing along, fleshing out the delightful melodies of Mavroudis’ songs.
It was love at first sight! And since it was a long night (as the song says), the idea for the whole Choir to perform some of the composer’s works followed naturally and effortlessly. “And just imagine if we had Venetsanou and Tosikian with us”, said someone who loves to dream ...
