Aaron Goldberg

Aaron Goldberg born in Boston, began taking piano lessons at 7, and started playing jazz when he was 14. He moved to New York to study at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary music but also attended Harvard and Tufts University in Boston earning a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree respectively. Moving back to New York he released albums Turning Point, and Unfolding, began a lengthy association with saxophonist Joshua Redman, and toured extensively with him until 2002, performed in NY with Mark Turner, Gregory Tardy, and Betty Carter, Reuben Rogers Eric Harland, Nicholas Payton, Al Foster, Freddie Hubbard, and Stefon Harris traveled to Brazil, toured South America with Madeleine Peyroux, joined the bands of Kurt Rosenwinkel and Wynton Marsalis, and performed worldwide as a member of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra.
Further albums include Worlds, Home, The Now, his latest is At the Edge of the World 2018 and Bienestan, a collaboration with Argentinian composer Guillermo Klein, Yes!, in 2012.
n 2014, Goldberg released The Now, The Now has received significant critical acclaim, with The New York Times describing it as "superb" and The Boston Globe noting its "elegance" and "sly wit." The Ottawa Citizen wrote: "It's a vivid portrait of an artist who excels in several distinct directions".
