The young Latvian pianist Arta Arnicane is a passionate soloist and chamber musician living in Switzerland. Born into a musical family, she started studying piano from an early age, won her first international award at the age of eleven (Ibla Grand Prix, Italy). This was followed by performances with an orchestra and solo recitals.
Her musical talent has been encouraged with several major scholarships, allowing her to graduate with the degree of Master of Music from the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama (2004), Latvian Academy of Music (2008) and Zurich University of the Arts (2010), where she is currently continuing her studies under the tutelage of the distinguished pianist and Professor Homero Francesch.
