Uwe Matschke

Uwe Matschke was born in Germany.
He studied at the 'Franz Liszt' Higher School of Music in Weimar and at the 'Franz Liszt' Academy in Budapest.
From 1980 until 1987 he taught piano at the Higher School of Music 'Franz Liszt' in Weimar.
Since 1987 he lives and works in Greece and is today a professor of piano at the University of Macedonia in Thessaloniki and he is also President of the Economic Committee of Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra.
Uwe Matschke has given numerous solo concerts in international music festivals and renowned musical centers as well as concerts with famous European orchestras and a big variety of chamber music ensembles.
Recordings of Uwe Matschke’s interpretations have been recorded at the studios of German, Greek and Cypriot State Radio & Television.
Uwe Matschke’s records and CDs have been released by EMI, Virgin Records Macedonia University Press und the IRIDA Classical.
