The Thessaloniki Concert Hall together with the German Consulat of Thessloniki celebrate the 100 years from the liberation of the city with a night of chamber music. The violinist Danae Papamattheou-Matschke and the pianist and professor Uwe Matschke will present a program based on the Baal-Shem Suite by the Jewish composer Ernest Bolch, thus paying tribute to the 50.000 Jews of Thessaloniki that died in Auschvich during the Second World War.
The program also contains a composition dedicated to Danae Papamattheou-Matschke by Dimitris Terzakis,
Sprüche im Wind, as well as the Le Streghe by Niccolò Paganini. Finally, the two artists will present the Sonatas for violin and piano by Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel.
