GIACOMO PUCCINI: TOSCA (recorded)

Organizer: TCH WITH THE SUPPORT OF THE ANTENNA GROUP

Opera in three acts, libretto by Luigi Illica and Giuseppe Giacosa
With Greek subtitles
Run time (interval included): 3 hours & 20 minutes
Sir David McVicar’s bold staging of Puccini’s operatic thriller was a great success on its return to the Met in 2017. This time, the brilliant soprano Anna Netrebko stars as the passionate diva, partnered with Brian Jagde in the role of her lover, the idealistic painter Mario Cavaradossi. Michael Volle is Scarpia, the brutal baron and chief of police. Bertrand de Billy conducts an emotionally-charged score, which includes some of Puccini’s best known arias.
