ALKISTIS PROTOPSALTI: WITH AN ANATOLIAN AROMA

Alkistis Protopsalti, the brilliant singer who always surprises us with her musical choices, now comes together with the superb composer Andreas Katsigiannis and the Estoudiantina Neas Ionias Orchestra. They bring to light songs that have an Anatolian aroma, as well as songs from her musical journey that fit perfectly with these wonderful traditional sounds, and of the Mediterranean.
In this concert we will journey with a new procession of songs, starring the santur, strings, percussion and wind instruments, to enjoy the wonderful Alkistis in very different interpretations.
As she herself notes: "I was born in Alexandria in Egypt, and so for me the colours, aromas and sounds of Anatolia are unforgettable childhood memories that are very often revived in my artistic life. This is the first time, however, that a complete programme, ‘With an Anatolian Aroma’, is being performed.”
