BRUSSELS VIRTUOSI:
A VIRTUOSO NIGHT AT THE OPERA

T.C.H.
Brussels Virtuosi in Thessaloniki for the first time! They promise a musical feast with a programme of unique mastery, inspired by Opera. Three soloists, renowned countertenor Nikos Spanaris, sensuous French violinist Jean Frédéric Molard, and internationally respected Belgian flautist Marc Grauwels, who played on the soundtrack of Amadeus and for whom Astor Piazzolla composed the internationally known work History of Tango
The programme starts with the Minuet from Gluck’s Orpheus and Symphonie Concertante by operatic composer Domenico Cimarosa. It will be followed by two arias for countertenor, including ‘Sol da te, mio dolce amore’ from Vivaldi’s Orlando Furioso, one of the most alluring arias of the baroque repertoire. The second part of the programme includes Puccini’s Chrysanthemums and two exceptionally masterful fantasies with excerpts from the operas Rigoletto and Carmen, for flute and orchestra. Enjoy them!
