The Pan-Hellenic Competition of the Thessaloniki Piano Festival is held every two years under the auspices of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki. The competition winners receive cash prizes and have the opportunity to appear at important concert venues in Athens and Thessaloniki. Young pianist Grigoris Ioannou is the winner of the 3rd Competition and will be performing 12 Études d’exécution transcendante, works that are known for their demanding music and the high level of skill required in order to perform them.
