CHAMBER MUSIC CYCLE

MULTICULTURALISM - MUSICAL COMPOSITION & INTERPRETATION

T.C.H.
Six composers from five different countries that cover various musical trends from 1900 onwards, influenced by the musical culture of the land in which they live and compose.
This chamber music program concerns a special trio, a rare meeting of three different instruments, that includes a large percentage of the small number of authentic pieces that have been written for violin, saxophone and piano.
With their dynamic and melodic character, their musical contrast and their complete cohesion, three completely different timbres join in the even way possible, creating a separate, impressive sonic palette.

The pieces to be performed at the concert are by:

D. Svidridis – Greece
T.Z. Özdemir - Turkey
M. Eychenne - Algeria
J. Ibert - France
C.Caravassilis - Greece (world premiere)
I. Stewart - Great Britain (first performance in Greece)
