EUROPEAN DAY OF MUSIC

TSSO MEETS MOYSA

T.C.H. IN CO-OPERATION WITH THESSALONIKI STATE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
Fête de la Musique, or Music Day, was first celebrated on 21 June 1982 in Paris, at the initiative of then Minister of Culture Jack Lang, with the aim of “bringing out all musicians onto the streets”. The next year, 200,000 amateur and professional musicians filled the venues of the city, performing free concerts of all styles of music in an unprecedented celebration.
Starting in 1985 in Greece, an increasing number of European cities are joining in this celebration, with twenty two cities currently in total.
The TSSO and the Thessaloniki Concert Hall Organisation are once again celebrating European Music Day together, offering interesting musical proposals to the public.
