Yanna Zissiadou

Yanna was born in Greece and has lived in the UK for over 30 years.
Following her piano studies at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki, Yanna continued her training in London at the Royal Academy of Music and in the United States at the Eastman School of Music. Her music career was multi-faceted and comfortable as a concert pianist, accompanist, conductor and educator. Yanna is a champion of young musicians and commissioning new music.
With Sarah, Yanna created ANIMO, a flute and piano duo, with which they have commissioned over 11 new works.
Yanna loves to collaborate with other musicians and it is with PRANASA that she first ventured into live improvisation inspired by Supriya’s un-fussed approach to it! She is delighted to be bringing PRANASA to Greece and sharing this part her journey with everyone!
