Cristian Mandeal has repeatedly been acclaimed as on of the best conductors in our world and his interpretations were somtimes considered as "the best in the last 50 years" in severlal of the most important Auditoriums and Concert Halles worldwide.
Influenced in this studies by two of the most important conductors of the music histroy (Herbert von Karajan and Sergiu Celibidache), he has been invited  to coduct the most important orchestras in the world, from which we name only several here: London Symphony, London Philharmonic, Royal Philharmonic of London, BBC Symphony, Birmingham Symphony, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Staatskapelle Dresden, Staatskapelle Berlin, Münchener Philharmoniker, Bayerischen Rundfunks, Wiener Staatsoper, Deutschen Oper Berlin, Czech Philharmonic, Radio Prague, Santa Cecilia  di Roma, RAI Milano, Israel Philharmonic, Nationale de Belgique, Nacional de Barcelona, Tokyo Philharmonic,  in 31 countries of 4 continents. For several years, he has been appointed Artistic Director of the "George Enescu" International Festival.
Cristian Mandeal has collaborated with many renowned soloists such as: Radu Lupu, Ivo Pogorelici, Krystian Zimerman, Bruno Leonardo Gelber, Gerhard Oppitz, Yefin Bronfman, Alicia de Larrocha, Maxim Vengherov, Shlomo Minz, Ileana Cotrubas, Julian Rachlin, Victor Tretiakov, Mstislav Rostropovich. Besides the "George Enesco" of Bucharest, he participated in many other important International Festivals, as Ravello, Athens, Lisbon, Santander, Istanbul, Ankara, San Sebastian, Brescia - Bergamo, Thessaloniki, Belgrade, Hanover, Janacek or Edinburgh.
Cristian Mandeal has recorded for the companies Electrecord, MBG Classics, Arte Nova and Claves. In his discography, outstanding achievements were the integral cycles of the Bruckner symphonies, of the Brahms symphonic and vocal / symphonic works, released under the form of 9 CDs on the occasion of the composer's death centenary in 1997 and especially the complete symphonic works of George Enescu, in 7 CDs.
