Mohssen Kasirossafar

Βorn in Mashad (Iran), in the 80s he began to learn the self-taught zarb following the oral tradition. In '83 he met K. Kalhor and later M.R. Lofti with whom he began to perfect his technique, while in '86 he attended the school of the great Iranian percussionist N. Farhanfar in Teheran, participating with him and other musicians at many concerts, several of which in Italy. Besides working with Persian musicians, Kasirossafar has also worked with important Italian and international musicians such as E. Morricone, L. Cinque, G.Schiaffini, D.Glanert, etc. participating in the realization of various CDs and recordings. He is also a member of various musical groups ranging from medieval to contemporary music. He teaches the zarb and the daf and is dedicated to restoration and violin making.
