Nima Sarkechik

Twenty-three year old French-Iranian pianist Nima Sarkechik has already established himself as an extraordinary young talent; his musical maturity and remarkable technical skills have seduced his audience. Nima Sarkechik received diplomas from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris for piano in 2005 and for chamber music in 2006, and recently attended the highly selective “Cycle de perfectionnement”, where he receives the advice of internationally recognized pianists. In 2003 he received an award from the Foundation of France, and a year later he won the first prize at the International Piano Competition of Rabat. In November 2005, the Foundation Natexis-Banque Populaire offered him a three year scholarship.
During the 2005-06 season, Nima Sarkechik made his debut at The International Festival of Piano of La Roque d’Anetheron and at the Théâtre des Champs Elysées. He performed recitals in many French festivals and venues (“Festival des Serres d’Auteuil”, “Festival d'Enghien”, “Festival du Grésivaudan”, Museum of Grenoble, Palais du Pharo in Marseille, Palais des Congrès in Ajaccio and Strasbourg”), as well as abroad (Neümunster/Luxembourg Festival, CIMA Festival in Italy, in Turkey, Morocco, USA and Canada). In addition to his solo work, Nima Sarkechik has a keen interest in chamber music. In addition to his classical career, he is also interested in traditional Persian music, and therefore has performed in New York, London and Vancouver.
