FAGOTISSIMO

The chamber ensemble Fagotissimo was founded in 1999 by bassoonists from the “Mihail Jora” Philharmonic Orchestra from Bacău and the “Moldova” Philharmonic Orchestra from Iaşi. The ensemble’s repertoire includes a selection of Baroque music as well as works written specifically for the bassoon. With numerous appearances in Romania and abroad, the ensemble explores the rich world of timbre offered by this distinctive instrument. In April 2026, it will conclude its European tour with a concert at the prestigious Verdi Hall of the Milan Conservatory, as part of the Serate Musicali (“Musical Evenings”) season.
