JULIA FISCHER QUARTET

Works by Schubert, Shostakovich and Brahms
 
As part of its Chamber Music Cycle, the Thessaloniki Concert Hall presents the Julia Fischer Quartet, the ensemble of the leading violinist Julia Fischer. For the past fifteen years, Fischer has collaborated with three distinguished soloists: violinist Alexander Sitkovetsky, violist Nils Mönkemeyer and cellist Benjamin Nyffenegger. Together, they form an ensemble of outstanding musicians whose virtuosity and spontaneity complement one another, bringing to each performance a shared passion for and deep understanding of the chamber music repertoire. Their appearance at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall is part of this year’s European tour, which includes performances in Greece, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, Germany and Estonia.
