MOYSA CELEBRATES THE NATIONAL ANNIVERSARY OF MARCH 25

Shortly before departing for concerts in two of Eastern Europe’s major musical capitals, Sofia and Bucharest, MOYSA – the Megaron Youth Symphony Orchestra presents a festive concert on the stage of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.
On the occasion of our national anniversary, MOYSA presents a special programme dedicated to works by Greek composers, highlighting the enduring strength and artistic diversity of Greek musical creation. Through compositions inspired by history, tradition and the spirit of modern Greece, the young musicians pay tribute to our cultural heritage, conveying through sound and emotion the ideals of freedom, memory and collective identity, joined by the Choir of the Department of Music Science and Art of the University of Macedonia. Interspersed among the Greek works is the “Lacrimosa” from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s Requiem, offered as a musical homage marking 270 years since the composer’s birth.
