The Thessaloniki Concert Hall presents the new pilot educational initiative
“Opera 1”. In collaboration with the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, the programme is addressed to junior high school students, with the aim of introducing a new generation of listeners to the art of opera and familiarizing them with the magic of lyric theatre.
In the Main Foyer of the Concert Hall, students of the Opera Department of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki will present excerpts from the comic opera
The Secret Marriage by Domenico Cimarosa to the young audience, under the direction of baritone Akis Lalousis, Professor at the Opera Department of the Conservatory. The music education supervision of the production is provided by Katerina Syrrakou.
