The Music Time Capsule, the innovative educational programme of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, designed for students from the fifth grade of primary school to the third grade of junior high school and launched in 2025, continues its journey!
This modular music programme takes young audiences on a fascinating journey back in time, exploring the distinctive features of music in each era, the socio-historical context that shaped the art of the time, the greatest composers and the most celebrated works of each period.
Following last season’s highly successful programme dedicated to the Baroque period, this year’s stop focuses on one of the most emblematic periods in art music: the Classical era. A period that left a lasting imprint on world music history through the greatness of its composers and the rapid development of musical art.
Members of the MOYSA – Megaro Youth Symphony Orchestra, together with their conductor Panagiotis Diamantis and musicologist Mariana Bozapalidou as presenter, will guide young musical time travelers through the wonderful world of 18th- and 19th-century masterpieces of the Classical era and the great composers Haydn, Mozart and Beethoven.
And who knows? They might even surprise us with their own presence...
