ASMIK GRIGORIAN & DMYTRO POPOV

Organizer: THESSALONIKI CONCERT HALL IN COLLABORATION WITH THE THESSALONIKI STATE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA
The Thessaloniki Concert Hall welcomes Asmik Grigorian, the exceptional Lithuanian soprano who has dominated the international operatic scene over the past decade and has recently added the title of Female Singer of the Year (2025) at the International Opera Awards to her countless distinctions.
“Compelling dramatic talent” (The New York Times), “dazzling versatility” (The Times), a voice “wild, rich and dark” (Le Monde): the critical acclaim has been overwhelming—and justifiably so. With remarkable interpretative range and a distinctive artistic boldness, she has taken on one major role after another in recent years, captivating audiences and earning the admiration of the world’s leading opera houses.
At the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, she joins the outstanding Ukrainian tenor Dmytro Popov for a unique evening featuring beloved arias and duets from Tosca, Manon Lescaut and Madama Butterfly by Giacomo Puccini, as well as the dreamlike Rusalka by Antonín Dvořák. The artistic chemistry between the two performers is well established, as they frequently collaborate both in gala concerts and staged productions—their most recent appearance together being in January 2026 in Madama Butterfly at the Deutsche Oper Berlin. They will be accompanied by the TSSO under the baton of Modestas Pitrėnas, Music Director of the Latvian National Opera.
