1st INTERNATIONAL PIANO COMPETITION ''NORA LOUKIDOU''

On September 9, 2025, at 20:00, the Thessaloniki Concert Hall will host the final of the 1st International Piano Competition "Nora Loukidou", an institution dedicated to the memory of the distinguished pianist and pedagogue who inspired generations of young artists. Three finalist, selected after a demanding process of preliminary and semi-final rounds, will have the opportunity to perform concertos by great composers -from Mozart and Beethoven to Rachmaninoff and Tchaikovsky- acoompanied by the Thessaloniki Youth Symphony Orchestra with the addition of the string session of the Ionina Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of the winners of the 1st LWI Conducting Competition in Thessaloniki. The evening will culminate in the announcememntof the winners, as the final ranking will be determined by the combined vote of the audience and the orchestra. The public of Thessaloniki is invited to take an active part in this celebration of young talent and music excellence, while honoring the legacy of Nora Loukidou.
