FINALS OF THE 5th PANHELLENIC PIANO COMPETITION OF THE THESSALONIKI PIANO FESTIVAL

PROGRAMME

W.A. Mozart:
Concerto in D minor, KV466 (1st part)
W.A. Mozart: Concerto in A major, KV488 (1st part)
L.v. Beethoven: Concerto No.1 in C major, Op. 15 (1st part)
L.v. Beethoven: Concerto No.3 in C minor, Op. 37 (1st part)
The Competition is targeted at talented young pianists up to 27 years of age and is carried out in three cycles. During the first two cycles, which take place on the 4th and 5th of March at the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, the participants present solo recitals of works of their choice, while during the third cycle, which is held at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall, the qualified finalists of the Competition will participate in a concert with the Symphony Orchestra of the State Conservatory of Thessaloniki, performing concertos of Mozart and Beethoven. In addition to the monetary rewards, the award recipients will also be given the opportunity to perform in prestigious venues in Athens, Thessaloniki as well as other regions of Greece.
