XYLOURIS WHITE

The duet, Yorgos Xylouris (Psorogiorgis) and Jim White, has created its own musical diom, using sounds from jazz, post-rock and traditional Cretan music, captivating their audiences around the world. Giorgis Xylouris’ time in Australia enriched his music with rock influences, opening new musical routes for him.
True musicality and improvisation characterise his performances with Jim White, the other member of the duet. White, with his charismatic virtuosity, turns drums into instruments of infinite possibilities. A founding member of Dirty Three, the Australian band appearing as an opening act at concerts by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds, has cooperated with top names of the indie rock and post-punk scenes, such as PJ Harvey, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, White Magic, etc.
This is music with a powerful, free spirit, “goatish”, as they themselves call it, for those who can follow it to its ultimate heights.
