Top musicians of the two oldest and most important orchestras in Greece, the Athens State Orchestra and the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra, share the same stage for the first time, creating an impressive ensemble of twelve musicians playing brass instruments and percussion, conducted by their beloved friend and colleague, Nikos Chalassias, with the goal of presenting the virtuoso aspect of these instruments and their primary role in modern creations. The musicians have planned a programme that includes well-known classical melodies and some of the most famous musical pieces that ‘starred’ in global cinema and are loved by the public ... and promise us a uniquely ‘sparkling’ evening!
