T.C.H. IN CO-OPERATION WITH ''THESSALONIKI FRIENDS OF MUSIC ASSOCIATION''

Fred Astaire and the wonderful women who danced with him!
A tribute to the cinematic career of Fred Astaire, with excerpts from the 31 musicals he starred in.
Fred Astaire (1899-1987) was an American dancer, choreographer, singer, musician and actor of Austrian origin. The American Film Institute named him as the “fifth greatest male star of all time”. Gene Kelly, another important dancer and cinema choreographer, said that "the history of dance on film begins with Fred Astaire”. Many stars, including Rudolf Nureyev, Michael Jackson, George Balanchine, Mikhail Baryshnikov and Jerome Robbins, have also acknowledged his importance and influence.
His name became particularly associated with Ginger Rogers, as they co-starred in 10 films.
