The Thessaloniki Concert Hall celebrates the 100 years since the birth of the great poet and lyricist Nikos Gatsos with a series of selected songs that they were composed by the most important Greek composers (M. Hadjidakis, M. Theodorakis, St. Xarhakos) as well as some new songs by composers of the new generation.
The concert’s repertoire -«a greeting to the teacher and an acknowledgement for the emotions he offered us with his lyrics», as our great singer notes- comprises pieces from the famous cycles of Manos Hadjidakis, Mikis Theodorakis, Stavros Xarhakos, Dimos Moutsis, Christodoulos Halaris and Alkinoos Ioannidis, typical of the poetic excellence of Gatsos.
