NIKOS XANTHOULIS: THE OTHER'S SHOES

Organizer: THESSALONIKI CONCERT HALL WITHIN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE PROGRAM 'PRESCRIBING CULTURE' OF THE MINISTRIES OF CULTURE & HEALTH
In the context of the innovative program of the Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Health, “Prescribing Culture,” Thessaloniki Concert Hall presents the youth opera The Other’s Shoes by composer Nikos Xanthoulis. An allegorical tale with a libretto by Marivita Grammatikaki, dealing with empathy, social awareness and acceptance, bringing to the surface the notion that in order to understand others, we have to step into their shoes. Equality, social stereotypes, human rights, friendship, diversity and empathy are the main themes of the opera.
