StarWound
StarWound are a sophisti-pop trio based in Athens. Their music blends a cabaret ambience with elements of EDM and synth rock. They have released three albums: Miles to Walk (2015), So Wrong (2018), and What Do You See? (2024). Their lyrics—shaped by the philosophical and social concerns of contemporary life—combine realism with poetic expression.
They have participated in many well-known festivals, including Eurosonic (Netherlands), CLAE Festival (Luxembourg), Colora (Belgium), Culturescapes (Switzerland), Nisville (Serbia), Soul Bones (USA), “River Party,” and “Aeschylia” (Greece). They have performed in the USA, Switzerland, the UK, Belgium, the Netherlands, North Macedonia, Serbia, Bulgaria, and Luxembourg. They have collaborated with the Greek National Opera, composing the work Dancing Cloud, dedicated to the memory of renowned dancer Sasha Neskov.
Their recent project Interiors took them to the USA, where they collaborated with contemporary poets and performed at major American universities across 13 states. For autumn 2026, they have scheduled a new Interiors tour in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Interiors has also been developed into a multidimensional artistic project, forming part of a dance performance by the Serbian group Contra Teatar at the Nisville Festival in Niš, where the trio performed live with them. This collaboration drove to the creation of ‘Interiors: Dark Times’, a big theatrical Choreodrama directed by Maja Mitic. Additionally, a collaboration with mural artists in Greece is already planned for spring 2026.
Many of their songs have been broadcast on major FM radio stations in Greece. Their song “Buy Me” was included in the hotlist of Radio Pepper 96.6, one of Athens’ most popular stations. International stations such as WUWF (USA), World Radio (Switzerland), Ara City (Luxembourg), and Alma Radio (Belgium) also broadcast their music, while major newspapers and magazines—including Jazztime (Switzerland), De Havenloods (Netherlands), Ta Nea, Athens Voice, Avopolis, and EfSyn (Greece)—have published articles and interviews with them.
In November 2018, they presented on stage “EVE,” an alternative persona of their singer, offering a series of performances titled “Eternally.”
