He has a huge repertoire, both in opera and symphonic and worked for companies such as Philips, Decca, Universal and TDK recording CDs with artists such as Beczala, Rebeka, Dessi, Colombara, Armiliato, la Scola, Sabbatini and the Tosca DVD from Teatro Carlo Felice di Genova with Dessi, Armiliato and Sgura staged by Renzo Giacchieri got enthusiastic reviews.
He’s also known as an expert in lieder and is passionate about teaching, giving masterclasses throughout the world for young conductors, singers and accompanists.
Among the highlights of recent seasons, a special gala for Anna Netrebko’s 50th birthday in Moscow Kremlin with guests including Domingo, Villazon, Volle, Salsi, Abdrazakov, a much acclaimed tour in Japan with Placido Domingo with whom he later appeared in Zaragoza and Hong Kong, and again in Japan for 2 concerts celebrating his 50th anniversary from his debut there, a series of concerts with Vittorio Grigolo in Tokyo, Riyadh, Moscow and Ravello, the new productions of Otello and Boheme in Taipei, a gala “Hommage a Pavarotti” with Domingo and Carreras in Tokyo, 2 concerts with Anna Netrebko and Yusif Eyvazov in Wiener Konzerthaus and Linz, 2 concerts with Piotr Beczala also in Wiener Konzerthaus and Linz, the new productions of Butterfly first version in Moscow Helikon Opera and Rigoletto in Vishnevskaya Centre, the release of the new CD with Marina Rebeka which got excellent reviews, a gala in Lubiana Festival with Tezier and Tetelmann, an opera gala for the summer season of Rome 3 university young orchestra and another gala with Netrebko and Eyvazov in Tel Aviv.
Among his next engagements the opening of the Ohrid Festival with a Gala featuring Ermonela Jaho and Charles Castronovo, a concert in Macao with Jose Carreras and Placido Domingo, Aida with Marina Rebeka in Riga, concerts with Piotr Beczala in Thessaloniki  and Vienna, more concerts with Anna Netrebko in Japan and Vittorio Grigolo, the new productions of Barbiere di Siviglia in Vishnevskaya Centre and Butterfly in Taipei, Verdi’s Requiem at the Chaliapin Festival, masterclasses in Shanghai and Shenzhen, a tour in China with Placido Domingo, Adriana Lecouvrer in Skopje.
