An excellent version to have.
The performance is eloquent and energetic, the atmosphere of the work’s soft centre nicely poised, the outer movements sparkling without being too hard-driven.
All these are good works, and they receive enthusiastic and committed performances from the German team. -Music Web International

The Quartet masterfully embraces this clear, yet metrically quite complex language, revealing a wide spectrum of tonal nuances. It ranges from crisp fortissimo attacks to the heavenly, dreamy,
vibrato-free chorale. – Fono Forum
With a light touch and great inspiration, the Quartet unfolds an emotionally rich sound spectrum, thus giving the two repertoire rarities a beautiful impression. – Das Orchester
