Eunmi Lee

Violin
Violinist Eunmi Lee, born in Seoul, South Korea, received her Bachelor’s Degree from Seoul National University, and later obtained her Master’s Degree and Künstlerische Ausbildung from the Hochschule für Musik Dresden in Germany.
She has been recognized with numerous prizes at international competitions, including:
  • 1st Prize and 3rd Prize at the International Violin Competition “Marie Cantagrill” (2015)
  • 2nd Prize at the 31st International Violin Competition “Michelangelo Abbado” (2014)
  • 1st Prize at the 2nd International Violin Competition “Camillo Sivori” (2014)
  • Special Prize for Best Bach Interpretation at the 2nd International Violin Competition “Vasco Abadjiev” (2013)
  • 1st Prize at the International Music Competition “Caffa Richetti” (2012)
  • 1st Prize at the International Music Competition “Gianluca Campochiaro” (2012)
From 2013 to 2015, she was a member of the academy of the Sächsische Staatskapelle Dresden. She was also a scholarship holder of the Ad Infinitum Foundation (2010, 2012, 2013) and received the prestigious DAAD Prize in 2012.
Eunmi Lee has performed as a soloist with renowned orchestras, including the Hungarian State Symphony Orchestra at Liszt Hall, the Berlin Symphoniker at Berlin Philharmonie Main Hall, and the North Czech Philharmonic Orchestra at Smetana Hall. She is scheduled to appear as a soloist with the Stuttgarter Philharmoniker in January 2026.
In addition to her concert career, she is also active as a juror and pedagogue. She was invited as a jury member to the Osaka International Competition (2024), and will serve as a jury member at the Brahms Competition in Austria (2026). Since 2016, she has been a jury member at the International Violin Competition “Szymon Goldberg” in Germany. She has also been invited as a professor to the Zell am See Musik Festival in Austria and the Wittenberg Musik Festival in Suzhou, China.
Currently, Eunmi Lee serves as Vice President and Principal Professor at the Seoul Central Conservatory and is also a lecturer at Mokpo National University.
