Kamil El-Ahmadieh

Kamil El-Ahmadieh was born in 1994. He started playing the piano in the age of 4 under the leading of Renata Kucharská. Between 2010 and 2016 he studied at Brno Conservatory under the leading of Inna Aslamas. He finished his studies by a graduation concert with Rachmaninoff´s Piano concerto no. 1 accompanied by The Brno Conservatory Symphony Orchestra. In 2016 he was accepted to study at Janacek Academy of Art in Brno, where he completed his Bachalor´s degree under the leading of Helena Weiser. From 2020 he continued his Master´s studies at The Sibelius Academy in Helsinki where he studied with Hamsa Al-Wadi Juris.
During his studies he became a laureate of numerus competitions such as „W.A. Mozart International Piano Competition in Lugano“ (2nd prize), Odin International Music Competition (1st prize), International Piano competition «Исполнители XXI века: Инициативы. Достижения» in Moscow (1st prize), International Piano Competition „Munchen Klavierpodium der Jugend“ in Munich (1st prize) and others. In 2019 he also recorded a debut solo album with pieces by Beethoven, Brahms and Janáček. He regularly performs not only as a soloist, but also as a chamber musician.
„The Typical Czech Duo“ created together with Pham Hoang Anh got prizes at competitions such as. Schubert Internetional Competition for Piano Duos in Jeseník (1st prize and Special Prize for the interpretation of contemporary pieces composed by Czech composer), International Piano Duo Competition „Four Hands On The Keybord“ in Karlovy Vary (Grand Prix + Special Prize for interpretation of a classical composition), Vlastimil Lejsek International Piano Duo Competition in Brno (Grand Prix). They recorded for The Czech Radio and played at festivals such as The International Piano Duo Festival in Amsterdam and others.
