Senjka "RoxorLoops" Danhieux was born in Asse, Belgium. His journey into the world of beatboxing began at the tender age of 17, inspired by Rahzel's legendary phrase, "...the beat and the chorus at the same time”. This moment of inspiration set RoxorLoops on a path that saw him become the Belgian Champion at 20 and Vice World Champion a year later. His pursuit of beatboxing excellence was driven by an admiration for old school beatboxers like Rahzel and Kenny Muhammad, alongside a love for all music styles.
Early Career and Style
RoxorLoops's early success in competitions established him as a prominent figure in the beatboxing community, recognized for his technical prowess and ultra-realistic style. He is able to create complex rhythm patterns, making him a sought-after performer both live and in recording studios. Despite being considered by many as the best beatboxer in the world, RoxorLoops humbly states, "there is no best," reflecting his belief in the subjective nature of artistic excellence.
Professional Journey
Throughout his career, RoxorLoops has worked with top a cappella groups such as The Swingle Singers (UK), Bobby McFerrin’s Take Five and Voces8 (UK), and was the resident beatboxer for Witloof Bay (BE) before joining Voxnorth (DK). His versatility has also seen him perform in contemporary dance and theatre projects, including Les Daltoniens and Urban Nomads. Since 2017, RoxorLoops has formed one half of the duo RoxorLoops & Jasmin, achieving widespread acclaim through their participation in Danish Eurovision (2020) and Danish X-Factor (2021), and captivating over 55,000 younger fans on TikTok (@roxorloopsandjasmin).
Achievements and Influence
RoxorLoops's contributions to music and beatboxing have been recognized with numerous awards, including the BeatBoxBattle Networks' “Most Inspiring Beatboxer Award” and two Blue Note Jazz Awards. He also co-wrote the winning song for Belgium's Eurovision entry in 2011, showcasing his creative talent on an international stage. His academic achievements mirror his professional ones, most notably attaining the highest degree from Denmark’s prestigious Royal Academy of Music. Here, he earned a Soloist Degree in Rhythmic Vocal Leadership, further solidifying his expertise and commitment to the art of vocal music.
