Faidon Miliadis
Violin
One of the most prominent musicians in the Greek classical music scene, Faidon is recognized for the breadth of his repertoire, spanning from early music to contemporary works of the 21st century. Throughout his studies at the New Conservatory of Thessaloniki, the Royal College of Music, and the Royal Conservatory of Brussels his focus has always been chamber music, which he has performed extensively throughout Europe.
A defining influence on his artistic development was his participation in the European Union Youth Orchestra, with which he toured across Europe and the United States, acquiring significant experience in the symphonic repertoire and orchestral performance at the highest level.
He maintains a prominent concert presence throughout Greece, is a founding member of the elGreco piano trio, and collaborates regularly with the ERGON Ensemble, with whom he has presented numerous Greek and world premieres of contemporary works.
Faidon serves as Principal Second Violin of the Athens State Orchestra, where he also held the position of Concertmaster from 2021 to 2023. As a soloist, he has appeared with the State Symphony Orchestra of Thessaloniki, the ERT National Symphony Orchestra, and the Athens State Symphony Orchestra.
Alongside his performing career, he is actively engaged in teaching, currently at the Kodály Conservatory and the Department of Music Studies of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
