Andrea Vitello, graduated in Choral Composition and Choir Conducting in G.B. Martini Conservatoire in Bologna, obtained his Master degree in Orchestra Conducting at Accademia Musicale Pescarese under the guide of M° Donato Renzetti. He studied also contemporary repertoire with M° Marco Angius and Sandro Gorli in Treviso and Milan.
He is active as conductor and as composer and appears in prestigious concert halls like Carnegie Hall (New York), Seul Art Center (Seul), Teatro dal Verme (Milan) in Seasons and Festivals such as Symphonic Season of i Pomeriggi Musicali in Milan, Seul Arts Center in Seul, Musica Viva Festival in Lisbon, Rondò-Divertimento Ensemble in Milan, Filarmonica di Trento, Bellagio and Como Lake Festival in Como, Teatro Goldoni in Florence, Argento Chamber Ensemble and Eco Music in New York, I solisti del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, Budapest Symphony Orchestra MAV etc.
He has been Principal Guest Conductor of Korea Soloists Orchestra in Seul (South Korea) and is Musical Director of BIOS Ensemble (Italy).
A sensitive interpreter of the contemporary repertoire, he conducted many premieres both with orchestra and ensemble by artists such as Tristan Murail, Andrea Portera, Oliver Schneller and of many young composers as well.
His recording debut with Arnold Schönberg’s “Pierrot Lunaire” has been acclaimed by the international press as "Thrilling" (Lisa MacKinney, Limelight Magazine); "Großem klanglichen Raffinement und virtuoser Brillanz” (Guido Krawinkel, Klassik Heute); “Ottimo CD, un must ci permettiamo di dire.” (Gabriele Moroni, Musica Magazine) etc.
