CLIMATE CHANGE: VANISHING POINT
Organizer: THESSALONIKI CONCERT HALL
The musical collective Climate change presents its debut album, Vanishing Point, at the Thessaloniki Concert Hall. Four internationally acclaimed Greek musicians—Christos Hatzis, Christos Rafalides, Petros Klampanis and Antonis Sousamoglou— bring together their compositions and virtuosity, reintroducing themselves to the audience through a project shaped by a shared musical language.
Where classical music meets jazz and world music, Vanishing Point (PKmusik, 2024)—the result of three years of intensive work and collaboration—explores the convergence of different musical worlds, transcending conventional classifications. At once cerebral and spontaneous, virtuosic yet engaging, precise yet boldly improvisatory, it is both emotionally immediate and deeply reflective.
At the core of the project’s sound lies a string quartet featuring Antonis Sousamoglou (first violin), David Bogorad (second violin), Thanasis Sourgkounis (viola) and Vasilis Saitis (cello), leading musicians of the Thessaloniki State Symphony Orchestra. Together with one of Greece’s most accomplished jazz duos—Petros Klampanis (double bass) and Christos Rafalides (vibraphone)—they create a compelling and soundscape.
