2 Protes Ores, the largest artistic group in Greece, with a company of 80 performers, presents its very own Bridges.
The narrative unfolds across two temporal planes: a distant yet defining “then” and a “now” in search of expression and identity. In the past, a madman builds a bridge to nowhere in order to provoke the inhabitants of a city who fail to see how separated they are, how much they have become estranged from. He builds a bridge to nowhere to awaken them to all the bridges they lack. And the bridge works. Even in the middle of nowhere, people begin to invest the bridge with meaning — once they have first chosen to live meaningful lives themselves. Even when external circumstances create a real rupture, the longing for connection remains alive. Many years later, at the inauguration of the restored bridge, will people be able to become… bridges once again?
The performance speaks of all these bridges, visible and invisible. Above all, however, it speaks of the bridges that we need to build. It invites us to become human bridges, restoring the harmony of a world connected to life.
2 Protes Ores is an inclusive artistic group of the Open School Days association. It began as a student project in 2023 and continues as an active presence in the life of the city — a group open to every individual, with or without disabilities.
