ZOE TIGANOURIA: A HAND FAN OF WOMEN

Composer Zoe Tiganouria, along with the Choir of the Vafopouleio Cultural Center and soprano Alkistis Togia, as well as the Thessaloniki City Symphony Orchestra under the direction of conductor Emmanuil Lorentzos, present a concert dedicated to women, both in its musical and lyrical content. This artistic creation is a tribute to the female soul through works by Zoe Tiganouria—arrangements for symphony orchestra and choir, selected pieces from her rich discography, compositions for film and television, as well as a new work written especially for this performance. A Hand Fan of Women, featuring Zoe, Alkistis and 150 female choristers on stage, illuminates the strength, passion, struggles and multiple roles of women, past and present, through a contemporary, lyrical and deeply moving musical language.
