Dimitris Nalbantis

D. Nalmpantis was born in Thessaloniki and started his music studies in National Conservatory of the city “class: Febi Nikolaidi”. He completed his training with Frangiskos Boutsinos with whom he received his Diploma “Excellent”.
He attended Lied-Oratorium classes with Missa Ikeoutsi and Anthony Kontogeorgiou as well as acting classes with Dimitris Kataleifos and dance classes with Lila Zafeiropoulou. As a soloist he appeared: in National Greek Opera House, in Thessaloniki's Opera House, in Chamber Opera of Athens, in Athens Festival, in Festival "Dimitria" of Thessaloniki, in Festival of Ancient Korinthos, in productions of Megaron of Music in Athens and Thessaloniki, he also collaborated with National Greek Opera of Athens and Thessalonikis', "Orchestra of Colours", National Symphonic Opera of National Radio and TV Station, the Orchestra "Amadeus" in Sofia, the Orchestra of Opera of Timisoara, The Symphonic Opera of Belgrade, the National Symphonic Orchestra of Armenia .
He worked with maestri as: Manos Hatzidakis, Lukas Karytinos, Nikos Tsouhlos, Nikos Athinaios, Miltos Logiadis, Myron Michailidis, Liza Hantzopoulou, Tsu Hui, Stefano Ranzani, Marchello Panni, Paul Goodwin, Dejan Savitch and other as well as with directors as: Michael Hampe, George Kok, Stephen Langridge, Nicolas Tress, Charles Raubaud, Joel Laurens, Pamela Howard, George Remoundos, Serge Vafeiadis, Vasilis Nikolaidis, Katerina Karatza and others.
He interpreted among others : Paolino / Il matrimonio segreto (Cimarosa), Nathanael / Conte d'Hoffman (Offenbach), Tamino and Monostratos / Zauberflöte (Mozart), Scaramuccio / Ariadne auf Naxos (R. Stauss), Remendado / Carmen (Bizet), Flavio / Norma (Bellini), Borsa / Rigoletto (Verdi), Basilio / Nozze di Figaro (Mozart), Spoleta / Tosca (Puccini), Pang / Turandot (Puccini) also roles of Greek and French operetta Sakelaridis, Offenbach.
He recently interpreted Panagi in Greek Passion of Martinu. Under the direction of Renata Scotto he interpreted Normanno / Lucia (Donicetti) and Goro / Butterfly (Puccini), of which he received excellent reviews from the Greek and International Press "a very convincing Goro" (Opera International). He also interpreted contemporary Greek composers as Ariel in Masque of the red death by D. Maragopoulos and Virginsky in The Possessed by H. Vrondos.
In the Athens Greek Festival he interpreted the tenor part of the Oratorium Pyrines Glosses Tongues in fire in a concert dedicated in Giannis Christou. He took part in many recitals and oratoria like Requiem, Cronungsmesse, Mozart, Fantasy C-moll Beethoven, Helias Mendelssohn, Liturgy G-Major Shubert and others.
He is an establishing member of "Eldor" Dance Company (2002) funded by the Ministry of Culture.
